  3. To navigate the help feature, simply click on the option button whose label resemble closest to the subject you are looking for (for example: to find out how to lose weight, click on the "Meal-Planner" button).

The Family Nutritionist is an easy-to-use program with all the actions taking place on the kitchen interface.  Most of the features and tools can be accessed from the Remote control.  With your first use, a sign-in menu appears.  Type in your name and click 'OK' to continue.  Please type in only 8 characters and avoid using anything other than letters and numbers.

  10. There is a nifty feature which lets you unlock and exit the Family Nutritionist program when, for some reason, it just freezes (locked) on you.  Simply press the "X" key on your keyboard.  The program will let you exit the program.  All unsaved information will be lost, however.

  13. Mouse Movement

  15. You can easily operate the program by observing the cursor shape. By default, it is an arrow, which indicates the current cursor position. When a click able area is encountered, the cursor changes to a hand.  If the cursor becomes a cross, you can move the object beneath it.

  18. LEFT CLICK -    This action denotes a selection of 
  19.         a item or function.

  21. RIGHT CLICK -    Right-click on a food while it is
  22.         on the table brings up the 
  23.         Food Property screen.

  25.         Right-click on a food while it is
  26.         still on the Search or Storage 
  27.         screens sets the Display Bar in-
  28.         formation for that food.

  30.         Right-click on a storage brings 
  31.         up its content screen.

  33. RIGHT BUTTON -    To input food into a storage 
  34. DRAG & DROP    area, use the right-mouse 
  35.          button to drag the food in 
  36.         front of the selected storage 
  37.         space; a door 'open & shut' 
  38.         action indicates a successful 
  39.         input.

  41. LEFT BUTTON -    Use this action for normal 
  42. DRAG & DROP    moving of food or to drag food 
  43.         from the Search or Storage 
  44.         screen on to the table.

  46.         Also use this action to 
  47.         drag food into and from the 
  48.         Meal-Planning and Explorer 
  49.         screen.

  51. LEFT BUTTON -    When grouping or selecting 
  52. DRAG TO SELECT    food to copy, hold down the 
  53.         left-mouse button and drag 
  54.         from the top-left corner down
  55.         to the bottom-right corner.  
  56.         A rectangular box will enclose
  57.         the selections.
